Dear Ms. Maura Mitchell,

I am writing to express my interest in the Photographer position with National Geographic. My talent for visual storytelling combined with my skills to capture authentic candid and posed portraits, makes me a well suited candidate who is excited about the potential opportunity to contribute to an organization that is renowned for its dedication to exploration, culture, and conservation.

My experience in photography has allowed me to develop a versatile skill set across documentary, wildlife, portraiture and environmental photography. I have worked in diverse and often challenging environments, where adaptability, patience, and attention to detail are essential. Through my work, I’ve always strived to tell compelling stories that not only captured the beauty of the subject, but also pulls the viewer in to ask questions about the story behind the subject.

In addition to being a technical photographer with advanced camera equipment and editing software knowledge. I also bring a strong sense of creativity, curiosity and respect for the subjects [people], cultures, and environments I photograph. I am particularly drawn to projects that raise awareness about global issues and inspire the viewer to see the world from a new perspective. An ethos that closely align with National Geographic’s mission.

I am confident that my creativity, field experience, and dedication to storytelling would make me a valuable addition to your team. I would welcome the opportunity to contribute my skills and collaborate with other talented professionals at National Geographic.

I currently live in New York City but am willing to relocate for the opportunity. I am also available for an interview as soon as you finalize your top prospects. I look forward to the possibility of discussing how I can contribute to your organization. Thank you for your time and consideration.

Best Regards,

Arthur Hylton
